Rywka Jurysta

Działoszyce, 2/14 January 1869, 9 a.m. Synagogue attendants Abram Kolatacz and Symcha Lesz, both 45, reported that Rywka Jurysta, aged 50, died in Działoszyce on 1/13 January at 5 p.m., leaving her widowed husband Zajnwel Jurysta. The death was personally verified; the act was read and signed.

No maiden surname or parents are given. Do not automatically identify her with Ryfka Majerczyk of the 1833 marriage: the stated ages conflict.

Majer Jurysta and Tauba Sziewicz

Działoszyce, 16/28 February 1873, 5 p.m. A religious marriage was concluded between Majer Jurysta, bachelor, 20, born in Działoszyce and living with his parents, son of Sandel Abram and Rywka Chana née Pilarz/Pilart [reading uncertain], and Tauba Sziewicz, unmarried, 19, born in Działoszyce and living with her parents, daughter of Lejbuś and Frymta née Dawidowicz. The groom’s parents supported themselves through work; the bride’s household through baking. Witnesses were synagogue attendants Abram Kolatacz and Symcha Lesz, both 48. Three banns preceded the marriage; parental consent was oral and no prenuptial contract was made. The religious ceremony was performed by the acting rabbi, Fajwel Was [surname reading provisional].

Confirms Majer, not Mordka, as Tauba’s husband. Sandel Abram’s proposed identification with Abram born in 1838 is unproved and chronologically difficult, not a confirmed ancestry link.

Działoszyce, 8/20 September 1892, 11 a.m. Josek Jurysta, melamed, 64, presented a deceased male infant before Abram Klajner, night watchman, 40, and Szmul Wulf Zylber, trader, 42. He declared that the child had been born alive in Działoszyce on 7/19 September at 2 a.m. to his lawful wife Chana née Czapnik, 18. No name had yet been given. The act was read and signed by the official, father and one witness; Zylber could not write.

Live birth followed by death before registration, not a stillbirth. The striking ages 64 and 18 are what the original states; do not silently normalize them. Supersedes the old claim that Act 224 belonged to another family.

Działoszyce, 25 March/6 April 1894, 4 p.m. Rabbi Mojżesz Chil Staszewski appeared with Judka Jurysta, bachelor, 19, born and living with his parents in Działoszyce, son of Majer and Tauba née Sziewicz, and Bluma Swicarczyk, unmarried, 19, born and living with her parents in Działoszyce, daughter of Chaim Dawid and Fajgla [maiden surname uncertain] Swicarczyk. Before witnesses Mojżesz Kolatacz, road-toll scribe, 35, and Mordka Cudzynowski, synagogue servant, 58, the rabbi declared that he had married the couple at 3 p.m. that day. Banns were announced on 5/17, 12/24 and 19/31 March. No prenuptial agreement was made; parents gave oral consent. The official, rabbi and witnesses signed; the couple and their parents declared themselves unable to write.

Correct original is Act 11, not the previously displayed left-page Act 10. Judka’s father reads Majer. The bride’s mother’s maiden surname remains unresolved; do not turn OCR Aperte… into a fixed surname.

Symcha Jurysta

Działoszyce, 21 April/3 May 1895. Judka Jurysta, trader, stated age 22, presented a female child before Szymon Swicarczyk, trader, 35, and Josek Płotek, trader, 30. He declared that she was born in Działoszyce on 21 March/2 April 1895 at 6 p.m. to his lawful wife Blima née Swicarczyk, 20. The child was named Symcha. The delay was attributed to the father’s neglect. The official, father and Szymon Swicarczyk signed; Josek Płotek could not write.

The original expressly uses female wording. Identification with the later male Symcha is strongly supported by matching date and parents in the population register, but the sex discrepancy is unresolved, not a proved clerical correction. The two JRI spelling rows are one act, not two births. Prior transcription crop showed Act 81 and is replaced.
